Semi Precious Gemstones

If a gemstone is not precious, or organic, or artificial…. then the odds are it’s a semi precious stone. Semi precious stones lack the fundamental of a precious stone in that they are usually not rare especially in large, flawless or near flawless varieties.
Semi previous stones tend to be but are nto always softer than precious stones, so they will wear and chip more easily Semi precious stones are often treated to enhance color, notably blue topaz(clear topaz irradiated) and yellow citrine(usually treated amethyst). Semi precious stones can still be most beautiful and their lower price makes them greatly more affordable than precious stones.
The most popular semi precious stones are Topaz, Citrine, Amethyst, Peridot, Tourmaline and Garnet, but there are literally hundreds of different crystals that can be cut into a semi precious gemstone, we’ve got a big list started - expect this list to continually grow
